YART Run Two Bikes at Qatar 8 Hour

Top R6 Cup Riders Join Jerman, Martin, Plater...

Yamaha Austria will run a second team next month's Qatar 8 Hour season finale. Regular riders Igor Jerman and Steve Martin will be joined endurance journeyman Steve Plater on the Coca Cola sponsored No.7 bike, while the riders for the No.77 bike will be the top three finishers in the Dunlop sponsored Austrian Yamaha YZF-R6 Cup. Team manager Mandy Kainz: “We're travelling to Doha for just one reason; to win the race”

After Qatar the team will travel straight to Macau, where Thomas Hinterreiter will ride for the team in the Macau Grand Prix. Then it's pension time for the old YART R1s, as development work begins on the big-bang 2009 Yamahas.
