Gwen Giabbani to YART for Bol Joins Jerman and Martin for Crunch Race... Leading French rider Gwen Giabbani will rejoin Yamaha Austria for the Bol d'Or 24 Hour round of the Endurance FIM World Championship which will take place at Magny Cours on the 13th/14th September. YART team manager Mandy Kainz: “For all the team it is a pleasure to welcome Gwen back; in reality he never left us” Giabbani will join team regulars Igor Jerman and Steve Martin. In ten races with the Austrian team Gwen recorded five podium finishes, helping the team to finish second in the World Endurance Championship in 2006 and third in 2005.

Gwen Giabbani rode for Kawasaki France in 2007 but he and the team parted company after the Le Mans race this year, He has since been riding in the German IDM Superbike championship, finishing second in race 1 and fourth in race 2 at Oschersleben two weeks ago. Yamaha Austria are currently lying second in the World Endurance Championship standings, 31 points behind leaders SERT Suzuki with 65 remaining to be won in the final two races of the season. Yamaha Austria must finish in front of SERT at the Bol d'Or to stay in contention for the championship.
