Estoril: Lorenzo – Pedrosa – Rossi Stoner 6th – Toseland 7th – Hayden Crash... Jorge Lorenzo has won the Estoril round of the MotoGP championship, with Dani Pedrosa second and Valentino Rossi a distant third. Lorenzo and Pedrosa now share the lead in the championship. Rossi took the lead on the second lap, with Lorenzo, Pedrosa and Dovizioso following him to break away from the pack. Lorenzo took the lead on lap 12 as Rossi's tyres began to lose their performance, with Pedrosa moving up to second a lap or so later. Casey Stoner had a difficult weekend, managing to battle his way through to 6th place behind Edwards and Hopkins despite have to catch bits of his Ducati as they came loose. James Tosealnd was seventh on his first visit to Estoril. Dovizioso, De Puniet and Hayden all crashed, with de Puniet remounting to finish fifteenth. Race Result – Top Ten: MotoGP Championship Standings: Lorenzo and Pedrosa have both scored a win, a second place and a third place.
