Le Mans 24H Moto: Les Animations

Posted: 17th April 2018

What's going on? We have no idea, but here's what the organisers think is happening – Fan Zone, Mechanical Show, Concerts, Pit Walk, Lady Bike, Funfair, Kustom Village, Artists, Museum...

Pit Walk - Friday Evening

A chance to meet and greet the riders and admire the machines that will take part in the 24 hour race. Grab as many free posters and stickers as you can, and make sure you get some indecipherable autographs too.

Fan Zone – Paddock Village

A new exhibition in the heart of the paddock village, which offers a chance for endurance fans to 'slip into the skin' (not literally, we're sure) of the 24 Hour riders. There's a simulator, photos to be taken with grid girls, a podium recreation and a reflxe challenge.

Mechanical Show – Pit Straight

On Friday night on the pit straight there'll be an 'incredible mechanical show', with freestyle motocross and aerobatics on motorcycle, quads and cars.

Concerts – Saturday Night

Stand by for an evening of 'generally oriented pop-rock' (control yourselves, please) with The Chris Slade Timeline and The Yellbows. Exactly.

The Funfair

Drink lots of beer and then have a go on the 32 metre Ferris wheel, the 'Cyber One Booster' pendulums, the Chamboule Tout, the Punch, a rodeo, karting, bumper cars and clay pigeon shooting. What could possibly go wrong?

Place du Village – All Weekend

It sounds like the organisers are not really sure what's going on, but they say it'll be great. Some of the ky French retailers will be there, plus the big manufacturers with various displays and exhibitions.

Kustom Village – Friday to Sunday

'Kustom culture invites itself to the 40th anniversary of the 24 Heures Motos, come and discover this extravagant and colourful universe. In this pavilion dedicated to motorcycle customization, come and meet the best European trainers, from choppers to Café Racers to bobbers. An elegance contest will also be organized to reward several winners among the many show bikes present!'

Lady Bike - Paddock Village

I'll let the official press release describe this: 'Several activities will be offered to women in this space and open to men accompanied by their companion: beauty universe (exclusively for women) with its animations and services makeup, hairdressing, beauty of the hands, the relaxation area, a motorcycle exhibition to the lines women and many other surprises in preparation.' Open Friday afternoon, Saturday all day and Sunday morning

Village of Artists - Friday to Sunday

Motorcycle related art displays by top painters, sculptors, decorators and deisgners. Something for everyone, they say.

Museum of the 24 Hours – Daily from 10am to 6pm

A proper museum, devoted to the various 24 hour races held at Le Mans. Admission charges.
