Race Result: YART take Dominant Win Race Result: YART take Dominant Win... Yamaha Austria have won the Oschersleben round of Endurance FIM World Championship in dominant style, taking their third race win in a row. The race was stopped after six hours and forty minutes after thunderstorms lashed the circuit, but full points will be awarded to the finishers.
Yamaha Austria with Amadeus X One and RT Racing Team on the Oschersleben podium
Yamaha Austria's initial challenge looked set to come from Yamaha Phase One, but a crash by Damian Cudlin while he was leading the race dropped the British team out of contention. During Qualifying and for the first half of the race Michelin Power Honda seemed to be the only team able to match the Austrians' performance, but the Honda team also fell by the wayside after hitting electrical problems and then suffering a broken chain before finally crashing. This left Austria free to establish a comfortable lead. A stunning performance by Amadeus X One Yamaha's Ayrton Badovini took the Italian squad to second place by the time the race was stopped, with RT Raging Suzuki in third place, Sapeurs Pompiers Suzuki fourth and Bolliger Kawasaki fifth. BK Maco Moto finished sixth after running at the front until dropping back after a crash, AM Moto Suzuki were eighth, RTM21 Honda ninth after fixing a broken footpeg, and Michelin Power eventually finished tenth. QERT Suzuki were the first Superstock team to finish, in eleventh place overall. Yamaha Austria now lead the championship by 28 points, from second placed RT Racing team and third placed X One. Only 28 teams started the race, with 24 finishing. Osch Time sheets and Results: www.german-speedweek.de/default.aspx?ID=66
