Bol d'Or 24H: Free Practice Sessions TKF Fastest, YART 2nd, GMT94 3rd, SERT 4th... Team Kawasaki France set the fastest lap of today's free practice sessions in the final minutes of the second session, recording a time of 1:41.845. Yamaha Austria were second fastest on 1:41.948, with Yamaha GMT94 third on 1:42.388 and SERT Suzuki No.1 fourth on 1:42.773. Qualifying begins at 16:30 CET this afternoon and those will be the only times that count, but SERT can't be happy that all three of their main rivals were in front of them this afternoon. National Motos Honda (1:43.280) were 5th, SERT No.2 (1:43.869) 6th, Yamaha Folch (1:43.983) 7th and the Moto Revue Honda France bike (1:44.059) was 8th.
The Moto Revue Honda France CBR1000RR Fireblades - nimble, fast, but ugly...
The Moto Revue team are sharing a pit garage with National Motos, and we asked Sebastien Scarnato to tell us how the Honda compared to the Yamaha and MV Agusta that he has ridden in the championship this year. "It's a very nice bike. It feels very short - very light steering and easy to turn fast. But on full gas the handlebars are flapping about, I think for the same reason." Bolliger Kawasaki (1:44.236) were 11th, Yamaha Phase One (1:44.453) 13th, and Maco Moto Yamaha (1:45.763) 19th after putting in the third fastest time this morning. Maco's Jason Pridmore *is* riding this weekend; a team insider commented, "the only wrist that was injured was the one that should have been signing the cheques." Diablo Kawasaki (1:46.330) were 23rd, BMW 30th and 48th, and the DERT Ducati was 36th. Full timing information is available here: Bol d'Or Live Timing
