Albacete 6H: Night Practice Sessions - Wet and Wet Maco-Gate Rumbles On - Dry Morning, Cold Marshals... Night Practice Both Night Practice sessions were wet, with Yamaha Austria setting the best time of 1:47.021 in the first session and Team Kawasaki France putting in a 1;45.322 in the second session.

Folch Yamaha were second quickest in both sessions (best of 1:46.043), and SERT Suzuki were third in both sessions (best of 1:47.011).

Maco-Gate The debate about Maco Moto's two-rider-pole-position rumbled on into the night, with rumours of meetings between factory team managers and the race organisers in an effort to restore the status quo. 
Dry Morning, Cold Marshals Saturday dawned bright but chilly, with temperatures around 11 degrees for the start of the second round of qualifying sessions and a strong wind blowing across the circuit.
