    4 Hours To Go

The top six - SERT, YART, Phase One, Kawasaki France, Bolliger, BMW No.17 - are unchanged, but Kawasaki France are slowly reeling in Phase One.

The Raffin Motos and Jadoul Kawasakis in 7th and 8th place are close together on the track, and Diablo 666 and Endurance Moto38 are just 40 seconds apart.

Amadeus X One were forced to retire after Lucchiari crashed at 2:30am, breaking his collarbone. The Harley Davidson suffered a bearing failure, and QERT apparently had engine problems after a couple of small crashes.

    7 Hours To Go

The top five positions remain unchanged.

Diablo Kawasaki have pushed in and then rejoined the race after replacing a failed fuel pump fuse, dropping them from 7th to 10th place. AM Moto have climbed back to 16th place overall, but Maco Moto are down in 19th position. Leroy Verboven: "We've had a couple of crashes and lost third gear; let's hope second and fourth can last."

The two factory BMW1200Ss are in 6th place (No.17) and 9th place (No.71). The TSV Volpke K1200S is in 40th place, just ahead of the Codu Racing MZ1000S.

The leading Triumph 675 is the PS-LSL No.31 bike, but that is also in pit lane with a small and disconsolate crowd staring at it. It is currently lying in 28th place, with the Evers ZAB Triumph in 29th place. The No.13 LSL Triumph and the Polizei NRW Triumph are both officially retired.

The Harley Davidson is in its pit box with the front cam cover off; a concerned looking man is poking about inside with various implements. The team are currently in 31st place.

    8 Hours To Go

Sunshine over Oschersleben! However, several key teams have retired from the race overnight, including FCC TSR Eurosport, QERT Kawasaki, Amadeus X One and Zone Rouge Yamaha.

SERT Suzuki still lead, with Yamaha Austria in second, Yamaha Phase One in third, Kawasaki France fourth and Bolliger fifth.

    More news to follow shortly…

    Hour 7 and 8

SERT Suzuki are still about 6 laps in front of second place, which is being fought over by Yamaha Austria and Yamaha Phase One.

Diablo Kawasaki are up to 4th, ahead of the No.17 BMW R1200S and Endurance Moto38. AM Moto Suzuki have dropped to 24th place after having fuel injection problems.

Kawasaki France have had another setback and are currently in 11th place after having to replace their front brake system. Steve Plater is still as chipper and optimistic as ever, though: "We need Suzuki to make a mistake, but anything can happen. Long way to go yet."

Copyrighted! SERT Suzuki. Mistakes unlikely, but not unknown at Oschersleben.

Suzuki Sweden are out of the race after Calvin Hogan crashed and snapped the bike in two. Calvin is okay apart from being "a bit sad".

Next Update: Might not be until tomorrow morning, sorry. Follow the live results here: http://www.raceresults.nu/...Speedweek%202007/Race%20live-results.htm

    Oschersleben 24H...

    Hour 5 and 6

SERT Suzuki hold first place, 4 laps ahead of Phase One and five laps ahead of Yamaha Austria. AM Moto Suzuki are still fourth, in front of Yamaha Endurance Moto38, BMW No.17 and Diablo Kawasaki.

Copyrighted! Yamaha Austria. Mind that flying wheel!

Kawasaki France are climbing steadily though the pack and are now up to 9th place. RMT21 Honda are two laps in front of the Kawasaki and are lapping about 3 seconds a lap slower.

Amadeus X One had been holding a comfortable ninth place but have just dropped to 16th after pitting for new brake pads and to repair a gearchange linkage.

Most teams that have not had problems have made six pit stops so far. Fourth placed AM Moto and the two BMW R1200Ss, in 6th and 12th place, have made just five. The PS-LSL Triumph Daytona 675s have made only four stops each; it's a real shame that No.13 bike crashed and is now having to make its way up the field from 27th place.

The weather has cleared up just in time for it to get dark. No more rain is forecast for the night.

Rumours are circulating in pitlane that Igor Jerman was seriously hurt in his earlier crash. Igor, of course, denies everything and is still fit to ride.

    Hour 3 and 4

With 4 hours completed, SERT Suzuki are just 30 seconds ahead of Kawasaki France, a gap which has stayed constant - pitstops apart - for the last three hours.

Yamaha Phase One are second, three laps behind the leaders and 25 seconds ahead of fourth placed Yamaha Endurance Moto 38. AM Moto Suzuki are hanging onto fifth place, in front of a charging Yamaha Austria, who have just passed Diablo Kawasaki.

    Copyrighted! Yamaha Phase One

The No.17 BMW R1200S is in eighth place, with RMT21 Honda ninth and Maco Moto Yamaha tenth.

The No.13 (unlucky for some) PS-LSL Triumph 675 crashed shortly after our last update. They are now in 39th place, having been up to 4th at one point.

The rain is still holding off. So far.

    Oschersleben 24H...

    Hour 2

SERT have led for all of the second hour, holding a 30 second advantage over Kawasaki France until the Kawasaki pitted just before 17:00. AM Moto Suzuki are still third, with QERT fourth and Phase One fifth.

The No.13 Triumph 675 finally stopped for fuel after 75 minutes of racing but is still in 6th place, ahead of Moto38, Diablo 666 and the first of the BMW R1200Ss. RT Racing Motovirus Suzuki are tenth.

Diablo Pitstop Dario Giusepetti is riding for Diablo, in place of Olivier Ulman

Kawasaki Bolliger crashed at the chicane earlier in the hour, but Morillon was able to ride the bike back to the pit and rejoin the race. They are now in 40th place. Yamaha Austria are up to 28th place.

The rain has held off. So far.

    Oschersleben 24H...

    Start, Hour 1

After 1 hour, AM Moto Racing Suzuki lead, with SERT Suzuki second, RT Racing Motovirus 3rd, No.13 PS-LSL Triumph 4th and Kawasaki France 5th.

The first hour of the race has been dominated by tyre choice. Every possible combination of slick, intermediate and wet tyre was present on the start line, but within 3 laps Kawasaki France had pulled out a 5 second advantage over second placed SERT Suzuki, while Yamaha Austria and Phase One (both on wets) slipped further back.

Oschersleben Start Jerman, Philippe and Giabbani sprint for their bikes

YART were one of the first teams to pit for slicks, but they lost vital time lossening the rear wheel spindle. Phase One were in a couple of laps later, themselves losing time after having difficulty replacing the front wheel. Meanwhile, Kawasaki France, SERT, Bolliger and AM Moto Suzuki were stretching away at the front.

Yamaha Austria's bad luck continued when Igor Jerman crashed on the start finish straight, ending up with him on the pitlane side of the track and the bike on the grass on the grandstand side of the track. The pace car was called out and Igor was able to push the bike back to pitlane for repairs.

YART Pitstop YART, in for slicks. They'd be back in the pits 15 minutes later...
